Since my start at Arthur D. Little I have primarily focused on Technology and Innovation Management issues. The “TIM” practice at Arthur D. Little helps companies with Technology and Innovation related issues such as identifying root causes to current inefficiencies, defining and implementing product portfolio strategies and technology strategies. I have been involved in projects covering the majority of these areas in various industries, which has made my work varied and truly stimulating.

As a Principal at Arthur D. Little, I spend a lot of time ensuring that we are meeting the client’s expectations during the cases. This responsibility helps me grow as a professional and it is an important contributor to why I enjoy my work. Furthermore, the atmosphere at Arthur D. Little is informal and the organizational structure is flat, which makes it easy to have good relationships, both professionally and socially, with all employees.

I joined Arthur D. Little as a senior hire with eight years of experience from executive positions in the life science industry. My passion is for business and organizational development, and this is what my work at Arthur D. Little is all about. Solving our clients’ most difficult challenges in a true teamwork environment with intelligent, inspiring and energetic people is challenging, rewarding and a constant learning experience. From the very first day, I was really impressed by the professional, supporting and prestigeless attitude I experienced at Arthur D. Little, both between colleagues at all levels and in the interaction with clients. From the feedback we receive from our clients, it is evident that they too appreciate the Arthur D. Little teams’ way of approaching problems and create sustainable results in a side-by-side way of working. And that is what really makes my day – A satisfied client!

I came in contact with Arthur D. Little early on during my time at KTH through a case competition
(that my team happened to win!). I particularly noticed the people, the problem solving atmosphere and the collaborative corporate culture. I have now been with Arthur D. Little for almost seven years and my current responsibilities as a manager involves planning and managing cases. I have the privilege of every day diving deep into a wide array of industries, facing a broad spectrum of strategic and organizational challenges. I also have the privilege of being surrounded by a fun and well motivated team of individuals that always go the extra mile to please our clients.

I joined Arthur D. Little after finishing M.Sc. degrees in Biotechnology at Chalmers University of Technology and in Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Gothenburg International Bioscience Business School. For me it was natural to join Arthur D. Little after graduation since I thrive in an international environment where I am constantly challenged by complex business problems.

Working at Arthur D. Little is a constant development process, both on a professional and a personal level. From the ~30 projects I have participated in or managed, I have learned how to define, structure and solve various business problems, how to implement solutions and how to manage projects and people. Looking back at all the projects and all the people I have worked with over the last couple of years, it amazes me how much you can experience and learn in a relatively short time period. And, the most important thing of all, I get to work with people who are smart, ambitious and fun to be around!

I joined Arthur D. Little in May 2010 after having worked as an analyst with new business areas within the Stena sphere. I am part of our automotive and manufacturing practice and am particularly interested in strategy and organization. Arthur D. Little is strong within the field of AMG and I’m excited by working with strategic issues that will have an impact on some of our largest companies within the Nordic area. Arthur D. Little is a great place to work. Both because of the friendly, down-to-earth people but also because of the early exposure you get and the structured development methodology that ensures that each individual develops in line with expectations.

During my studies I tried several different internships, e.g. investment banking in London and business development projects. This taught me that I am most stimulated and high performing when problem solving in complex business environments with high people interaction. Working as a management consultant offers this environment. I specifically chose to work at Arthur D. Little due to the brilliant and friendly colleagues, the entrepreneurial spirit and the great possibilities of personal development from day one.

I joined Arthur D. Little after having spent a number of years in the academia as well as building a start-up company in the automotive industry. Even though I enjoyed the entrepreneurial and academic life I felt an urge to learn more about different structured ways of addressing highly challenging problems in large and complex companies. Ideally, I wanted to combine this with my in-depth technological knowledge and research experience. I found Arthur D. Little to be the only top-tier management consultant company that truly combined in-depth technological knowledge with innovation and top-management strategic and operational issues. Having worked at Arthur D. Little for a while I can conclude that not only were my expectations met but I also have the pleasure of working in an entrepreneurial environment with truly talented colleagues.

When I studied at university I really enjoyed case solving; applying my analytical skills to real companies, finding the best solution to real life problems. At Arthur D. Little I can pursue that interest to the fullest working with major companies in all lines of business. I chose Arthur D. Little because of the great people who work here. Supportive, excellent and really fun to be with, they make me grow as a person.

Working at Arthur D. Little, to me, is challenging, interesting and it satisfies my endless curiosity. My work has exposed me to tough private equity clients, friendly nursing companies as well as technically driven manufacturers. The tasks range from number driven analysis, interviewing and market analysis to high level discussions on clients’ strategies and how to influence company culture. I am constantly impressed with my colleagues and the impressive results of their work, and it spurs me to excel,
every day.

What I enjoy most about my work at Arthur D. Little is the challenging and exciting projects we engage in together with the open and caring corporate culture. In my work for Arthur D. Little’s Healthcare practice I get to use my knowledge in both biotechnology and management that I earned during my education to solve strategic and operational problems. At Arthur D. Little I learn new things every day and I am working together with skilled and experienced people in a supportive team environment. Arthur D. Little has already meant a lot for both my professional and my personal development.
